High winds, hail wreck

RAMONA ROAD - Last
Saturday evening’s storm
ripped through Lebanon
County and seemed to leave
in its path concentrated
devastation between
Prescott and Ramona Roads
in Jackson and South
Lebanon Townships
In a distance of less than
one mile as the crow flies the
storm blew off bam roofs,
toppled a silo, killed a heifer
calf, leveled a 75 x 40 foot
bam, and snapped 26 Met-Ed
The roof of the cinder block barn, located on the neighboring property
southeast of the Deck farm, was damaged as the storm ripped through the area
around 6:15 p.m.

Agency.
Along with some other
damage to a house trailer
and a 4-bay garage, Miller
said the property damage
resulting from the stem was
estimated at slightly over
$155,000. He explained the
estimate was formulated
after he visited 20 residences
in Jackson and South
Lebanon Townships
Dennis Hoke, County
Agent for the Lebanon
County Cooperative Ex
tension, reported that
damage to crops in the
county ranged from mild to
heavy.
In the Ono-Harpers area,
he said, the com was
“reduced to sticks, with the
leaves all beaten off” He
added the damage to the
small grains was
irreparable “the gram
was shattered out, the heads
