that instances of blue mold
spomlation was detected
this week on plants taken
from seedbeds into fields in
neighboring Maryland
There have been no in
dications of healthy plants
contracting it.
In Lancaster County, early
symptoms of blue mold were
found in seedbeds in the
Christiana and Bird-m-Hand
areas But the Leola-
Leacock finding was the first
clear visibile evidence of the
sporulation.

KILE entry deadline
HARRISBURG - Any
livestock people who are
interested in showing at the
Keystone International
Livestock Exposition, to be
held from October 2-7,
should keep m mind the
deadline for entries is
August 31.
Besides the new date for
the show, another new ad
dition to the state’s only
international livestock event
is the feeder pig show and
sale on Friday, October 3.
Sheep producers will be
happy to learn there will be a
national Merino show on
Monday, October 6 and a
Dorset bred ewe sale on
Saturday, October 4.
