Directors, presided over the annual membership meeting, assisted by Raymond Hetherrngton, Ruigtown, Secretary of the Board. The Annual Report of Operations was presented by Burt Hethenngton, Rmgtown, Manager of the Cooperative Hethenngton reported a profit for the fiscal period under review He stated that the Board of Directors has already taken action to distribute the profit in full in cash to BVC’s patrons within the time frame prescribed by Pennsylvania Cooperative Law Hethenngton discussed the diversity of services in both produce marketing and farm supply purchasing offered to BVC’s patrons in 22 counties of northeastern Pennsylvania and 3 counties of western Pennsylvania. He stated that all of this contributes to the sound financial position of the cooperative and the quality of the service offered Myrtle Neidlmger, Zion Grove, Chairman of the Nominating Committee presented a slate of nominees for election to the Board of Directors by the membership present at the Annual Meeting. Board Members elected for three-year terms are; Distort I, W Scott White, Clarks Summit; District 11, Harold Smith, Nescopeck; District 111, Harvey Vough, Dushore; Distnct IV, Harold Rang, Catawissa; and District V, Raymond Hethenngton, Rmgtown. President Hopkins com plimented Ed Naunczek, Berwick, Chairman of the TIME! Lancaster Farming, Saturday, June 21,1980—€17 Program Committee and others who assisted in the staging of a successful an nual meeting. Hopkins called attention to the passing of one of BVC’s founders, Clemon Smith, R 1 Nescopeck. He was a member of the Organization Committee, served on the original Board of Directors, and was BVC’s first Board President. At the tune of his passing, Clem was serving BVC as a Member of the Board and Board Secretary President Hopkins ex pressed his gratitude to all for the cooperation extended to him by fellow Board Members, Patrons, and Staff of BVC during a very suc cessful year of operation.
