Junior Guernsey Breeders’ Association will hold its Annual Summer Picnic Tuesday, June 24, 1960 at the Penn State University. Registration starts at 10 a.m. at the Dairy Barns. Buses for a guided tour of the University will depart from the barns promptly at 11 a.m. Lunch is to be held at 12:30 p.m. at the East Hall Picnic Grounds. Families are requested to bring a covered dish or dessert and table settings. Breasted chicken, ice cream, and milk will be served. Galbreath presiding. It was reported that 12 people were accepted into membership. The bowling team received a plaque for win ning the State Grange region H contest and participating m eliminations at the roll-off at Bellefonte May 18. In other business Glenn Hough was appointed to get the pianos tuned. Mrs. Howard W. Miller Jr. announced that the Oakryn Senior Citizens have some seats available in the bus to go to Gettysburg June 18. Mrs. Miller reminded Grangers of the needlework, photo, art, family and talent contests. Mrs. Richard Edwards presented the program on Mushroom Farming.
