process of turning six more
houses into ones that are as
crowded as her home was.
Some things we fmd are
pleasant surprises, some are
gruesome and some are
interesting.
One such item was a black
stationery folder, badly
battered, which held a few
letters from a soldier m the
Civil War. The letters would
probably mean even more to
a membei of this boy’s

Franklin Mclntyre wrote
home from Plymouth, North
Carolina to his mother, his
mam concern was to urge his
family to write to him and to

mother not to worry as he is

There is a brother Enos
Diller Mclntyre and he feels
two from one family is
enough in the war In his
letter dated April 6, 1864 he
stresses to his mother that
he doesn’t drink whiskey and
that he has plenty of soft
bread and fresh beef to eat.
There is also a newspaper
clipping with the letters
which states that William
Weidler Mclntyre died Feb.
16, 1876 aged 15 years, 5
months and 12 days.
Considering the present
unrest in our world, such
letters certainly give us
reason to pause and pray for
peace

total of $105,160 rolled in for
the 98 lots sold at the Eastern
Limousin Breeders Assoc
Spring sale, held Saturday,
May 3
Buyers from nine states
helped push the sale average
up to $1073.
Steven Lmkinogger of
Tariff, W.V., bought the top
selmg bull, Nordic Kelsey
XIM 38K for $3400. This
fullblood bull was a July 1978
son of Essor and consigned
by Nordic Farms LTD,
Campbellville, Ontario.
Nordic Farms also had the
second highest selling bull at
$3350. It was an April 1979
fullblood son of Golden Rod
and was purchased by
Walnut Hill Farm,
Charleston, W.V.
. A total of 16 purebred bulls
averaged $2094
Indian Trail Farm, Trail.
Oh, purchased the top

$3OOO. She was a March 1976
daughter of K&D Beau
Everest KDS 2E and had a
Gendarme bull calf at side.
Gordon Briggs of Gam
bier, Oh., had the top selling
open purebred female. This
December 1978 daughter of
Espoir sold to Don Faidley,
Colfax, IA for $1125.
The 29 open purebred
heifers averaged $BBB. Seven
bred 75% heifers averged
$750. Thirteen open per
centage heifers averaged
$595.
Fawley Farms, Lyn
chburg, Oh., had the top
selling percentage bull. He
was a Marc 1978 son of Bold
Type and sold to C.H. Bxrney
of Jewett, Oh. for $l4lO.
The 22 percentage bulls
averaged $762 Many of
these bulls were eleven and
twelve months old.
