ternational Livestock Center located at
Perryville, Arkansas. The position respon
sibilities include management and supervision
of a 500-head registered Brangus herd,
selection and preparation of livestock of all
varieties for shipment to overseas and domestic
projects, supervision of staff and volunteers,
extension of hospitality to the many visitors to
the Center, and active promotion of the
work and programs of Heifer Project
Heifer Project is a non-profit, church-related
assistance program that provides livestock,
related training and technical aid to needy
communities overseas and in the US Can
didates should be experienced in farm
management, trained in animal science, skilled
in public relations, and possess the ability to
work well with others The candidate should
also be active in church work and committed to
the concepts of Heifer Project

more than 12,000 young
American Angus Association
junior and life members and ■
nearly 70 state and local
junior Angus associations.
Directors will be elected
by state delegates. Each
state can have two official
voting delegates. The newly
elected national directors
will elect officers from the
board members.
Any life or junior member
of the American Angus
Association less than 21
years of age January 1,1980,
is eligible to be a candidate.
Board members will serve
two-year terms with six new
people elected to the board
each year. This year,
however, one-year terms
will be randomly assigned to
six directors, and six will
serve for two years.
The national association’s
goals will include personal
development of outstanding
juniors through new
challenges, goals and

USDA has revised the U.S.
grade standards for dry
whey to include whey of
higher acidity than was
previously eligible for
grading under the stan
dards.

and consumer services, said
the changes were made

ingredient has increased in
