swine to pass a test for
brucellosis before entering
the United States.

there are 119 firms exporting
food items to every continent
in the world.
But more could be done to
help boost farm and food
exports. National
agricultural exports are
continuing to rise, with a
total of $17.6 billion for the
first five months of the fiscal
year, running from October
1 to September 30. This is up
36 percent over last year’s
U.S. total.
“Agricultural exports play
a significant part in our
economy,” Hallowed said.
