Alt— Laacasfr Farming, Saturday, May 3,1980 Berks FFA honors Greist and Imes BY LAUREL Staff Correspondent KUTZTOWN - Members of the Beits County FFA Chapter, representing the six local chapters of the county gathered recently at the Kutztown Grange Hall here for their annual banuqet. Highlighting the evening was the presentation of awards to members achieving success in county competition throughout the year. But perhaps the most meaningful awards presented were the County Star Farmer and Star Agribusinessman Degrees. Receiving these honors were the County President, Howard Greist of Twin Valley FFA - County Star Farmer, and the County Vice-President, Steven Imes of Oley FFA - County Star Agribusinessman. Greist also received awards in the form of trophies for County Agronomy and first place in extemporaneous speaking in the county contest, edging out his rival, in the latter competition, Bruce Lat- > shaw. Imes also received a trophy for public speaking. He was first in the county contest for general speaking. Other star awards were presented as follows: Star Chapter Fanners - Henry Noss, Conrad Weiser; Allan Rohrbach, Hamburg; Dean Bruno, Kutztown; Scott Hauseman, Oley; and Penny Bicfcsler, Tulpehocken.
