4-HCLUB
FLEMINGTON, N.J. -
The Hunterdon County
Feathered Friends 4-H Club
held their April meeting at
the Woske residence in
Whitehouse Station.
The main topic for
discussion was a dub bake
sale, which is to be held on
May 24 at the Garden State
Sentry Hardware Store in
Whitehouse Station.
Presentations were given
at the meeting. Two of the
dub members, Tammy and
Wendy Woske were par
ticipants in the County
Presentation Contest held
recently. A one-day-old
Crested White Duck was
brought to the meeting by
Lome Nief of Flemington.
The next meeting is
scheduled for May 12 at the
Woske home in Whitehouse
Station.
GOAT GANG
4-H CLUB
FLEMINGTON, N.J. - A
meeting was held recently at
the Van Duyne residence in
Sergeantsville by the
members of the Goat Gang 4-
HCiub.
Margaret Buchanan, a
member of the Hunterdon
County 4-H Sheep Club,
showed the members how to
fill out their record books for
the County 4-H Awards
Judging. She also told them
what awards were available
for them.
Upcoming activities in
which the club plans to
participate are the 4-H Day
at the Mall and the 4-H What

VETERINARY
SCIENCE 4-H CLUB
FLEMINGTON, N.J. -
The April meeting of the
Veterinary Sdenee 4-H Club
was held at the Extension
Center.
A committee for 4-H Day
at the Mall has been formed.
Club members plan to bring
in their own Veterinary
Science instruments and
write up a description of
them for their display. Also
included in the display will
be pictures of their/ animal
projects to show that “4-H is
learning by doing”.
A demonstration on the
Golden Comet Chicken was
given by Patrick Eckrich of
Milford.
The club display for the 4-
H Day at the Mall win be set
up at their next meeting on
May 8 at the Extension
Center. New members are
welcome.
CENTAURS 4-H
HORSE CLUB
FLEMINGTON, N.J. -
The Centaurs 4-H Horse Club
met in April at the home of
their leader, Betsy Spencer
of Lebanon.
The members attended a
Handicapped Riders Clinic
recently. The members

4-H Clubs meet in New Jersey
learned how a handicapped
person adapts to riding a
horse. On Saturday, the
members went to New
Bolton Center, an equine
veterinary hospital.
Their nert meeting is set
for May 5 at the Spencer
residence.

DAIRY GOAT
4-H CLUB
FLEMINGTON, N.J. -
The Sunshine Dairy Kids 4-H
Club, a newly formed goat
club, met in April at the
home of one of their leaders,
Joan Dinkelo of Stockton.
The club is going to par
ticipate in the 4-H Day at the
Mall Program in May. A
Grooming, Fitting and
Showmanship Clinic for the
members has been planned
for sometime in July.
New Officers in the club
are: Keith Morre,
treasurer; Tracy
Harrington, secretary;
Dawn Dinkelo, club reporter
and Steven Dinkelo, in
charge, of refreshments and
clean up. Donald Moody is a
co-leader of the club.
The next meeting is
scheduled for April 27 at the
Dinkelo residence.

IMMUNIZATION CLINIC

Horse Immunization Clinic
open to all horse owners will
be held this Sunday from 12
noon to 1:30 p.m. at the
Round Valley Youth Center
on Route 629 in Clinton
Township.

GOAT COUNCIL
FLEMIN6TON, N.J. -
The Hunterdon County 4-H
Dairy Goat Council met at
the Extension Center
recently.
An election of officers was
held, and the results are as
follows: president, Penny
Peck of Bloomsbury; vice
president, Chris Peck of
Stockton; secretary, Mary
Skerbish of Clinton;
treasurer, Jim Allen of
Califon; representative to
Garden State Dairy Goat
Club, Greg Keller of
Hampton; and council news
reporter, Donna Compton, of
Frenchtown.
Some of the upcoming
events in which the Council
will take part include: 4-H
Day at the Mall, set for May
10; the 4-H What Not Sale on
June 7; and 4-H Camp to be
held at Beemerville during
the week of July 14.
The next meeting is
scheduled for May 8 at the
Extension Center.

A trip to Great Adventure
is planned for the club on
May 17. Members will be
leaving from the Hunter
Hills Apartment Complex in
Flemmgton at 9 a.m. sharp,
and plan to leave the park at
5 p.m.
Members of the dub will
be practicing their twirling
routines for the 4-H Day at
the Mall Program, which is
to be held on Mav 10.
