Slaughter Steers were 1.25-
2.00 higher, some instances
2.25-2 50 higher than dull
close. Heifers were mostly
1 50 higher, instances 1 75-
2.00 higher. Cows closed 50-
1 00 lower, and bulls were
steady.
Four day receipts this
week 11,800, last week 10,100
year ago 11,300.
For the second successive
week, closing prices on
Steers and Heifers were
higher than at the close of
the previous period. Trading
was still rather uneven,
however; prices advanced
sharply on the initial session,
weakened on expanded
Tuesday marketings, and
then moved upward agam on
a meager midweek supply.
