The banquet attendance this year was almost exactly 200 persons more than the 1979 version. In 1978, at tendance was just over 1200. Both the Baroque Ballroom and the Cabaret of the Host were comfortably filled with dinner guests. Entertainment in both rooms consisted of country music from Danny Davis and the Nashville Brass and comedy from Charlie Doman, billed as the boy from New Hampshire and known for his many ap pearances on the old Jack Paar show. Among the honored guests were poultry industrymen and their wives at the head table in the Ballroon. Broiler Industryman of the Year are Ken and Cora Longacre. Emerson and Candace Meashey were honored as Turkey In dustrymen of the Year. Walter and Jean Wheelock were cited as Egg In dustrymen of the Year. Officials of the Penn sylvania Department of Agriculture graced the head table m the Cabaret Room. John Hoffman gave much of the credit for the evening’s success to the Gold Feather Salespersons, supporters who sold an outstanding number of tickets to the PPF Banquet.
