    National 4-H Conference is held in Washington this week

Outstanding 4-H participants
from all over the country
will gather in Washington,
D.C. for a week-long con
ference, April 12-18 at the
National 4-H Center. The
annual conference will focus
on the involvement of youth
and adults in program
development and public
relations efforts.
Selected from Penn
sylvania to participate in the
conference are Judith Rudy,

Co., a nationwide meat pack
ing firm headquartered in
Chicago, has been fined
$2500 by the U.S. Depart
ment of Agriculture and
ordered to stop violating
deceptive practice provi
sions of the Packers and
Stockyards Act, USDA an
nounced.
The firm consented to the
order, waived oral hearing
and neither admitted nor
