A special memorial ser vice was held during the evening for Marvin L. Fox, an eleventh grade vo-ag student who died recently. Fox was awarded posthumously the Star Red Rose Farmer-Production award and the dairy production award. Kerry Boyd was awarded the American Farmer degree. Two members of the community were given the outstanding service award for their help to the group. They were: Jay Irwin, County Extension Agent and Carl Graybill, former ag teacher. Club members receiving special awards were: David Smith, Star Greenhand; Mike Pfautz, Star Chapter Farmer; Bruce Weaver, Star Chapter Agn busmessman; and Avery Copenhaven, Star Red Rose Agnbusmessman. Harold Kauffman, Tim Gockley, Ray Good, Ron Good, Lamar Groff and Hans Groff were awarded their Keystone Degree pins. Receiving foundation awards during the evening banquet were: Tun Gockley, ag mechanics; Terry Stegeman, ag processing; Ron Good, ag sales and service; Galen Sauder, beef production; Tun High, crop production; Scott Smith, diversified livestock production; Steve Smith and Steve Moyer, fruit and vegetable production; Diane Weaver, ag production; Ray Good and Dennis Saylor, poultry production; Ray Weaver, sheep production; Harry Becker, soil and water management; and Harold Kauffman and Cliff Weaver, swine production. Dale Gerhart was given an award for his outstanding citrus sales. Judging team and national contest awards went to: Robert Fox, Kevin Smoker and Mark Weiler, dairy team; Harold Kauffman, ag mechanics; Clifford Weaver, dairy products; Ronald Good, ag mechanics; Mike Pfautz, dairy products; Hans Groff, farm management; and Steve Strauss and Tony Eberly, state proficiency awards.
