Report supplied by USDA
Trading continued slow on
steers and heifers again this
week. Slaughter steers
closed at the middle of the
week mostly 1.00, instances
1.50 lower than Wednesday a

fully .50 to 1.00 lower. Cows
and bulls 1.00 lower.
Receipts totaled about 2500
this week, 2818 a week ago,
and 3527 a year ago. The
failure of the beef trade to
show any turnaround in
activity forced prices lower
again this week despite the
continued reduction in
market cattle receipts.
