B6—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, March 29,1980 $ll,B million for gasohol plant WASHINGTON, D.C - Secretary of Agriculture Bob Bergland last Friday an nounced that Farmers Gram and Fuel Products, Inc., Liberal, Kans., has been tentatively approved to receive a plot loan guarantee of $ll.B million to help finance a six million gallon a year anhydrous alcohol plant. The plant will produce alcohol suitable for blending with gasoline to make gasohol from grain sorghum. A cattle feedlot that will use all of the byproduct wet stillage generated by the distillery is an integral part of the project, Bergland said. There is also a facility for recovering byproduct carbon dioxide to sell to a neighboring meatpacking concern. Bergland said this project is part of President Carter’s renewable energy program, and that the plant can contribute significantly to achieving the President’s 1981 fuel alcohol goal-500 million gallons of annual capacity. 90-hp 4040 Everything the 4030 had—and more Ten more horses that s the first thing to grab your attention on the 4040 But it also packs more built-in working weight on a longer wheelbase It s a really solid performer in the field And the 90-hp 4040 is just as maneuverable as its smaller predecessor Stop in for full information on the 4040 a quick-handling peppy performer It s one of the NEW IRON HORSES 1 ' with more horses and mo r e iron LANDIS BROS.
