Geib tells Manheim FFA what life is made of MANHEIM “If you love life, don’t waste time because that’s what life’s made of.” With these words, Earl Geib, winner of both the Honorary Chapter Farmer award and the American Farmer Degree addressed the annual Manheim parent member banquet last Friday. Geib, whose work in beef, hogs and tobacco con tributed to his recognition, was only one of many win ners here at Ruhl’s United Methodist Church. The Honorary Chapter Farmer Degree was presented to; James Shultz, Marlin Becker, Earl Geib, and Mervm Shelly. Special American Farmer Awards were given to Earl Geib and Ruby Bollinger; and Jay Gamer was awarded the Eastern Regional (National) Proficiency Award for Agricultural Mechanics. FFA Greenhand Degrees were awarded to Gail Gmder, Barry Little, Bob Keeney, Mike Pflieger, Mark Peters, Ed Sensemch, Gerald Hoover, Jeff High, Tom Henderson, Brian Ruhl, Bruce Wagner, Steve Brenner, Jeff Greiner, Enc Gilbert, David Groff, Glenn Brandt, Arlan Martin, Jim Geibe, Nate Eshleman, Scott Straub, and Vernon Heisey.
