Shine today an nounced a January 1900 base milk price of $13.03 per hundredweight and an ex cess milk price of $11.35. The weighted average January price was $12.04 and the butterfat differential for the month was 15.0 cents. The January base milk price RCA meetings held to be LANCASTER - In terested persons are urged to attend two regional meetings for public par ticipation and comment on the future of conservation programs of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The public is being asked to help USDA decide how to accelerate the application of conservation work now administered under its 34 programs. The meetings are being held under the provisions of the Soil and Water Resources Conservation Act of 1977. Under RCA, Congress directed USDA to appraise the condition of the nation’s soil, water and related resources, and to propose programs to guide future conservation ac tivities. There were 7157 producers supplying Order 4 handlers during the month and the average daily delivery per producer of 2073 pounds was up 1.17 percent from December and 3.4 percent above last year. The average butterfat test of producer milk of 3.79 percent was down from 3.84 percent last January.
