Recipes are pouring in to help our readers find answers
to their questions. This week we are including two dill
pickle recipes which look easy and delicious.
SWEET DILL PICKLES
3% cups vinegar
6 cups sugar
3 tablespoons salt
4% teaspoons tumeric
% teaspoon mustard seed
1 quart water, approximately
Mix ingredients and pour boiling hot over raw
cucumbers packed in jars. Add % teaspoon dill to each
quart cucumbers. Process in a boiling water bath for five
minutes. Enough for 6-7 quart cucumbers.

2 cups vinegar
2 cups water
3 A cup sugar
2 teaspoons salt
Slice cucumbers lengthwise to fill pint jars. In each jar,
place 1 onion, and 1 spray dill. Combine rest of
ingredients and pour over pickles. Seal jars by boiling five
minutes in boiling water bath. Recipe makes liquid for six
pints. Store in dark place.
