Farm Show: the way it was
Jim Tretter soaps up a Polled Hereford bull, owned by Earnest Snyder of
Schochary Ridge Farm, Lehigh County, in preparation for the breeding beef
show.
Josephine Kotch, Luzerne County home economist, and Peter Feretti,
vegetable specialist, demonstrated preparing fresh vegetables with the use of
an electric wok. Other demonstrations included deboning poultry, making
omelets and preparing fresh fruit.

Chris is a senior at Garden Spot High School.
Bill Heath, of Penn Gate Farm, Littlestown, prepares Jet Star Tam for her
Senior Yearling Class in the Holstein show at this year's Farm Show.
Jim Stauffer, R 2 Lancaster, blocks his Suffolk ram. The junior at Penn Manoi
High School competed in both the open sheep classes and 4-H competition.

dairy princess spreads butter on crackers. The
crackers were sampled by thousands of visitors.
