Hildebrand exhibits champion Chester White gil
HARRISBURG - Ed
Hildebrand of Biglerville,
Adams County, was
presently surprised as the
judge, Ga'le Bressner,
tapped his February gilt as
grand champion of the
Chester White breed show.
This was the first Penn
sylvania State Farm Show
championship for
Hildebrand. “I got lucky,”
he noted.
However, it is more than
luck that enabled this
champion, Edel Penny, to
come to the forefront. Her
mother was of the Illinois
Smith herd and her sire
came from Jim Parlett’s
outstanding herd, explained
Hildebrand.
