Herr recognized for service
LANCASTER - At their
first luncheon meeting held
to coordinate the various
agencies m conservation in
Lancaster County, the
Conservation District was
commended by Walter
Peechatka, of the State
Conservation Commission,
for havmg one of the finest
programs in Pennsylvania.
“To solve the conservation
problems that will face the
District m the next decade
will take a cooperative effort
with other agencies to get
the job done.” Peechatka
continued. Those attending
the meeting seemed to
agree, for there were
representatives from Penn
Dot, Pa. Fish Commission,
Cooperative Extension
Service, Forest Service,
County Planning Com
misstion, and Soil Con
servation Service.
