Solanco National Honor
Society and the Mechanics
Grove Church of the
Brethren where he serves as
vice president of the youth
group.
Kim A. Landis

Solanco High School
The 17 year old daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Landis,
Kim A. Landis, will receive
the Keystone Degree on
January 9 at the State FFA
Convention.
Kim’s FFA projects have
included capons, quail,
turkeys and a home garden.
In addition to her projects,
Kim has participated in
various county judging
contests. This Summer she
was the fourth place in
dividual at the State Dairy
Foods judging competition
held at Penn State.
As a member of the
Sclanco FFA Chapter, Kim
has served the other
members as secretary and
vice-president of the
Chapter.
Her extracurricular ac
tivities include school sports.
She participates both in the
hockey and girl’s softball
teams.
Kim would eventually like
to pursue a career in agri
business. She also hopes to
live on a farm.
Kim received the
Greenhand, Chapter and
County Farmer Degrees
prior to earning the
Keystone Degree.

As the 17 year old son of
Mr. and Mrs. J. Herskey
Keller, Barry has conducted
a swine finishing and
breeding operation as his
FFA project.
Barry is the current vice
president of the Bermudian
FFA Chapter. In his four
years of membership, he has
earned the Star Greenhand,
Chapter farmer
awards. He has participated
in livestock judging and
entered both the county and
state project book evaluation
contests.
Barry’s hobbies include
playing baseball, hunting
and trapping. He also enjoys
any opportunity to work in
the wood shop.

The President of the
Bermudian FFA Chapter,
Stephen H. Boyer, has
earned the Keystone Farmer
Degree this year.
Stephen is the 17 year old
son of Mr. and Mr. Lloyd M.
Boyer, R 2 East Berlin.
His FFA projects have
included swine fattening and
breeding. In the past,
Stephen has exhibited hogs
at the State Farm Show. He
has also farmed four acres of
com as a project.
