Bill to eliminate need for special moped license
HARRISBURG - Special
licenses to operate methods
will no longer be required if
State Bill 1005, amended by
State Representative Donald
W. Dorr, R-York, becomes
law.

driver’s license, to operate a
moped.

eliminated by Dorr’s
amendment.
“By definition, these
vehicles can not travel at
great speeds, which makes
the goggle requirement
unnecessary,” Dorr said.
“We are trying to make
the use of mopeds as con
venient as possible,” Dorr
said. “They offer a safe,
economical transportation
alternative, at a time when
