Manheim Young Farmers reorganize
MANHEIM - Members
and guests of Manheim
Young Farmers enjoyed a
fine dinner meeting on
December 14.
After a call to order by
President James Kettering,
the groups new advisor, Dan
Fair, welcomes those
present.
State FEMA dealers
set meeting date
CAMP HILL The Farm
Equipment Manufacturers’
Association of Pennsylvania
will have its first meeting of
the New Year the Friday
before Farm Show.
The meeting will be held
January 4, 1980 at Schin
dler's Restaurant, on 21st
street, just west of Rt 11 and
15 in Camp Hill.
Drinks will be served at 6
p.m. with dinner starting at 7
p.m.
The farm equipment
manufacturers also an
nounced new officers for
1960.
They include Floyd Jester,
of Brilhon Iron Works, as

Manheim Central
agriculture department in
August after teaching at
Berwick High School,
Columbia County, and work
experience in forestry, dairy
fanning, and agri-business
in Venango County.

The Association also
announced that dues for 1980
should be paid by January
31. Annual membership is
$8.50.

potatoes. The door prize was
won by Mrs. Earl Landis,
who received a case of
Florida oranges.
In a brief business session,
the membership reorganized
for the 1980 year.
Elected as officers were;
Earl Geib, president; J.
Robert Keller, vice
president; Ruby Bollinger,
secretary; Dudley Rohrer,
treasurer; and Donald
Hershey, public relations
officer.
Outgoing president Jim
Kettering congratulated and
welcomed the new leaders.
The program included a
slide show prepared by Earl
Stauffer of Ephrata Young
Farmers, depicting

This senes was in
strumental in securing PA’s
bid to host the 1981 National
Young Farmer’s
Educational Institute at
Hershey.
After the slides, the
meeting was adjourned, and
members welcomed several
new members to the group.
