Program at the
Cooperative’s 62nd Annual
Meeting.

municator began serving
Inter-State’s needs as a
designer-printer for the
inter-State Review
Magazine, March, 1970.

In May, 1973, George
began printing the Penn
marva Magazine. He has
been the printer for this
publication since that date.
In addition to printing the
magazine, George has been
responsible for many
changes m the magazine
layout, style of the cover and
logistic procedures. He has
been Inter-State’s number
one publisher for the many
printing services needed by
the cooperative.
Williams has had desire to
do the best possible job on

quality of his work, attitude,
accuracy and timeliness that
accompanied every job
accounts for the basis of his
selection for this award.
George started his prin
ting experience with his
father and two uncles. The
printing firm was called
Williams Brothers Printing
Co. The firm was located at
Margaret and Ditman
Streets, Philadelphia, Pa. In
November, 1976, the firm
was re-orgamzed and the
name was changed to
Williams Printers and
Stationers, Inc., located at
Frankford and Oxford

of milk a year from 3,000
dairy farmer members in
Pennsylvania, New Jersey,
Delaware, Maryland,
Virginia, and West Virginia.
HARRISBURG - Penn
sylvania apples in cold
storage on October 31 were
up 23 percent from a year
ago, according to the Penn
sylvania Crop Reporting
Service.
The apple holdings totaled
382.042.000 pounds or
7.811.000 boxes at 42 pounds
each.
York apples again lead the
apples in storage with
2.059.000 bushels followed by
Golden Delicious apples at
1.405.000 bushels and Red
Delicious at 1,256,000
bushels. Other varieties and
the amount in storage are;
Rome, 915,000 bushels;
Mclntosh, 751,000 bushels;
Stayman, 442,000 bushels;
Jonathan, 222,000 bushels;
and all other varieties
761.000 bushels. Each bushel
contains 42 pounds of apples.

at his District Office Open
