member of the Red Rose Beef and Sheep Club and has been showing for three

Beef and Sheep 4-H Club and
has been competmg at the
fair for three years. This is
the first year that she took
highest honors. The reserve
champion fitter honors were
awarded to Momca Esh of
Kmzer.
The reserve champion of
the Shropshire breed was
Ernest Barrett with his first
place ewe lamb. Ernest is
the 13 year old son of David
and Pamela Barrett,
Cochranville, Rl. He has
been a member of the
Golden Fleece Club for the
past four years.
A brother-sister team,
Gerald and Barbara Rohrer
of Quarryville, Rl took the
championships of the
Southdown breed class.
Gerald placed first m all
divisions and took the grand
championship with his
yearling ewe. His sister,
Barbara won the reserve
champion honor with her
ewe lamb. The Rohrers
belong to the Red Rose Beef
and Sheep Club. Gerald has
been competmg for three
years. For eight year old
Barbara, this was her first
year of competition,
however she has helped her

Show on Wednesday. Among these honors was the showman grand cham
pionship and the grand champion and reserve ewe in the Suffolk breed class. He
also exhibited the champion ram.

of lambs. Sarah had the first
place Breeder Young flock,
while Robbie placed first
with an ewe lamb. This was
the first show competition
for the three children of Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Holmes of
Oxford, Rl.
Denise Ambler placed first
with her Hampshire ewe
lamb. Denise is the 14 year
old daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Ambler of
Cochranville, Rl and is also
a member of the Golden
Fleece 4-H club.
The Cheviot Breed class
had two division with Donna
MacCauley of Atglen taking
the first place m both
divisions.
The judge for the com
petition was Clyde Brubaker
of Lancaster.
