August 22 at the Quakertown
Livestock Market. Twenty
three 4-H members
exhibited 83 hogs m both
fitting and showmanship and
type classes.

were sold at the livestock
auction. The average price
was $.74 /lb. with the
Champion and Reserve
Champion; $.68/Ib. without
the Champions.
Scott Lazarus sold his
Champion to the Hatfield
Packing Company for
$4.30/lb. George’s Food
Liner of Bethlehem bought
Seth Gruber’s Reserve
Champion for $2.80/lb. The
average pig weighed 211
pounds.
