Heifers were 1.00-1.50 lower to a more narrow outlet. Cows closed 5.00 to 6.00 lower, instances 7.00 off, the best demand for cutter. Bulls 4.00-6.00 lower. Four day receipts 14,500 compared 16,450 last week and 14,900 a year ago. Despite a bearish dressed trade, demand for Choice 3 steers was good and received some additional* support from demand for 1050-1150 lbs. steers to return to the country. Also, some steers were purchased to slaughter m other states. Steers over 1200 lbs. with large percentage 4 contmued under pressure. The heifer outlet narrowed as two local plants are closed for couple of weeks.
