with her presentation
depicting a housewife in
curlers shopping at the
supermarket While
everyone listened, she told
about meeting the dairy
princess in the store who told
her all the good things about
milk.
Karen will be attending
Mont Alto Campus of Penn
State in the Fall, majoring in
pre-vetennary medicine
In school, Karen had been
senior class vice president
and a member of the drama
club. She has also been an
active 4-H member for nine
yeras, and told that she
actively helps with the work
on h6r parents’ dairy farm
She hopes to reach all age
levels during her reign as
dairy princess, in telling the
importance of drinking milk
First runner-up of the
contest was Sharon Corn
man, 17, the daughter of Mr
and Mrs. Creedm Cornman,
Carlisle R 6.
For her presentation,
Sharon talked of “From Moo
to You, using posters to tell
how milk gets from the cow
to the consumer.
Sharon is graduate of
Boiling Springs High School.
She will shortly be starting a
job at a nearby veterinary
clinic.
Ann Basehore, a senior at
Cumberland Valley High
School, was named second
runner up. The daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Basehore, Mechamcsburg,
