NEW YORK, N.Y. - For
the eighth consecutive year,
Jefferson, New York was the
top milk-producing county in
the Order No. 2 milkshed,
followed by St. Lawrence,
New York.

winners
YORK - Thirty-eight York
County 4-Her’s were selected
as County winners in the
National 4-H Awards
Program. The 4-H’ers must
fill but a record keeping
booklet which shows their
project diversity, demon
strations given, county and
state 4-H events, activities
other than 4-H, leadership
skills, etc. These 4-H’ers will
compete with 4-H’ers across
the state. The top five or six
in each award area will be
interviewed on July 20 at
Penn State University. From
this interview, the state
winner is chosen, which
means a trip to National 4-H
Congress in Chicago and a
chance at scholarships.
