—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, May 26,1979 132 WHAT'S NEW b . ■ SIDE-DELIVERY RAKE P. J. Zweegers en Zonen, a Dutch manufacturer of farm equipment announced the introduction of its new Side Delivery Haybob, the HS 360. The new side-delivery rake gathers eight and a half feet of cut hay into one windrow when the two swath deflectors are m the outer position. On the second and all succeeding trips, the operator again rakes eight and a half feet of hay, thereby accumulating 17 feet of cut hay into a single windrow. Zweegers manufactures two conventional haybobs, one with a working width of nine and a half feet and the other 16% feet. j When windrowing, the Hr 360 rakes the crop off tojpe side and the swath is foofted on the left-hand the machine. A socially designed levelling board regulates the supply of hay into the two rotors and en sures even spreading under all conditions according to the company. The HS 360 can rake single windrows in heavy crop, rake two working widths of light crop together on one swath and can rake together or com bine swaths. The HS 360 does not spread cut crop wider than its working width 12 feet for windrowing and 10 feet for tedding thereby leaving a clear tractor path between the tedded grass and the crop to be raked on the nert run. The HS 360 can be converted to clean raking and windrowing from ted ding by folding down both swath deflectors and ad jsutmg the tine positions. The spring loaded tines are maintained in the horizontal position by Please send me color catalog on the Cherokee horse stock trailers and GN flatbeds I Address centrifugal force and return to a vertical position when i the rotors stop. If the tines hit an obstruction, they can pivot out of the way to reduce breakage. The tines are also designed so that the crop slides off easily, thus avoiding tangling around the rotors and wheels says the manufacturer. The rotor speed is 180 r.p.m. The HS 360, as well as conventional haybobs made by Zweegers, are available through local farm equip ment dealers across the country or the company’s U.S. distributors.
