reports was the 1979
Agricultural Conference for
Pennsylvania Bankers. It
was held here Tuesday
through Thursday of this
week at the J.O. Keller
Conference Center of the
Pennsylvania State

Placements of broiler chicks
in the commonwealth during
the week ending May 5 were
up 14 per cent from the same
week a year ago, according
to the Pennsylvania Crop
Reporting Service.
The placements were
2,382,000, six per cent above
the previous week. Average
placements during the past
nine weeks were 14 per cent
above a year earlier.
Placements of broiler
organizations were The
Cooperative Extension
Service, and Penn State
University, in cooperation
with the Pennsylvania
Banking Association’s
Agricultural Lending
Committee.
