Class I producer milk totaled 240.3 million pounds and accounted for 52.11 per cent of total producer milk receipts during the month, down frpm 57.21 per cent in March and also below the 54.54 Class I utilization per centage last April. Sase milk accounted for 88.45 per cent of total producer milk receipts in April, compared to 90.14 per cent in March. There were 7,271 producers supplying Order 4 handlers during the month and the average daily delivery per producer was 2,114 pounds, 101 pounds or over five per cent higher than a year earlier. Middle Atlantic Order pool handlers reported Class I in area milk sales of 283.2 million pounds during April, a drop of 2.6 per cent from March, after adjustment to eliminate variation due to calendar composition.
