—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, May 19,1979 138 Soil Stewartship Week proclaimed WASHINGTON, D.C. - Soil Stewardship Week, which had its origins more than 1500 years ago, will be celebrated throughout the United States and its territories on May 20-27. The theme for the 1979 celebration is “In terdependence,” a concept endorsed by President Carter in his foreword to the descriptive Soil Stewardship Week booklet. The booklet and accompanying Soil Stewardship Week material is distributed by Con York Co. man named to PDA post HARRISBURG - Darwin J. Moyer, 41, of Dillsburg R 5, York County, has been ap pointed Director of the Bureau of Administrative Services for the Penn sylvania Department of Agriculture, according to State Agriculture Secretary Penrose HaUowell. Moyer assumed his new duties on May 9. As Director of Ad ministrative Services, Moyer will be responsible for providing staff, logistical and administrative support for the Department’s ac tivities. The bureau prepares the Department’s Dairy marketing letter offered . MADISON, Wis. - Starting m mid-June, there will be a new dairy marketing business newsletter which will try to sort out some of the com plexities of milk marketing. That publication will be The Milkweed. Peter L. Hardin will edit and publish The Milkweed. Hardin has covered dairy marketing m the northeast for The American Agriculturist, Hoard’s Dairyman and The Farm Journal. The Milkweed will have a Northeast edition.
