YORK - The annual York
County 4-H Demonstration
and Public Speaking Contest
.was held May 9th at the 4-H
Center. There were four
speeches and 29 demon
strations presented during
.the contest.
Judges for the categories
NEW HOLLAND - Sperry
New Holland is asking for
five minutes of tune with
each purchaser of its new
equipment.
During the five minutes -
the time it takes to read a
small brochure - the farm
machinery manufacturer
stresses some basic safety
precautions with equipment.
The thrust of the safety
message is summed up in a
single sentence in the
brochure:
“When you adjust,
lubricate, clean, clear or
service a machine, first
make sure the engine or
tractor power is shut off and^

studying the owner’s
manual, keeping children
away from machinery and a
continuing safety con
sciousness.
, The safety brochure is
being placed in all in
formation packets received
by new owners. While aimed
at new purchasers, the
brochure contain a timely
message for owners of
existing machinery.
