York Extension Service has new home
The York County Agriculture and Home
Economics Extension Service of the Penn State
University held an Open House at its new quarters
at the Pleasant Acres County Home and Hospital
on Sunday, April 29. A short ceremony was held at
2 p.m. at which time, Eugene Kilgore, immediate
past president of the Executive Committee of the
Extension Service, presented Nittany Lion
statuettes to the County Commissioners for their
help and assistance in establishing the new offices..
Formally the Extension Service was located in the
basement of the Court House, but that area was
needed for reorganization of the data processing
center.
