Dairy game will promote milk HARRISBVURG - A special, exhibit on the Pennsylvania dairy industry will make a series of one week w nt shopping 'nails across the com monwealth beginning May 17, according to State- Agriculture Secretary Penrose Hallowell. The exhibit is sponsored by the Keystone Milk Marketing Council, Inc. Hallowell characterized the exhibit as a “dairy fun and-games happening,” which features a five-hole miniature golf course. Children and adults may play a free round of miniature golf, receiving prizes for their efforts. At each of the exhibit’s ten mall stops, local dairy princesses will share in the festivities. Pennsylvania’s reigning 1979 Dairy Princess Lisa Miller of Washington will join the tour several times during the Spring and Summer. In addition to county and state dairy princesses, members of local and county milk promotion committees will staff the exhibit. * j L Red Tag Sale J The tour begins in Easton on May 17 and continues in Sharon, Altoona, Reading, York, Harrisburg, Scranton, Quakertown and Exton before closing in Lancaster as part of the annual Farm- City Week in mid-October. The “Hole-In-One” exhibit was developed by the Atlantic Dairy Association. , It’s appearances in Penn sylvania are being coor dinated by the Pennsylvania Agriculture Department’s Bureau of Markets. The Keystone Milk Marketing Council, Inc. is made up of representatives from the billion-dollar Pennsylvania dairy in dustry. Most members are dairy farmers, representing either a milk cooperative or another Pennsylvania dairy farming association. It is funded by dairy farmers who submit to voluntary ' assessments based bn their own production.
