    One-thousand, one-hundred, and thirty-five pounds of
butterfat and 23,242 pounds of milk was produced in 305
days by Barb, an 0-year old Holstein owned by David
Stewart of Delta Rl. Second high was Duchess, a 5-year
old Holstein who produced 1007 pounds of butterfat and
20,569 pounds of milk in 305 days. She too also is owned by
David Stewart. The southern York County dairyman took
a third honor by having the high herd average for the
month. It stood at 55.0 pounds of milk, and 2.28 pounds of
butterfat on 52.6 cows. Second place went to Smysers
Richlawn Farm, York, with 69 cows averaging 58.2
pounds of milk and 2.24 pounds of butterfat.
