of the newspaper to locate
fresh cut asparagus. Then be
sure to call the grower to
assure yourself of a supply
before visiting the farm.

Normally, asparagus is
available for cutting in
Delaware from about the
fourth week of April to the
third week of June. This is
know as the cutting season.

food. It’s low in calories and
high in Vitamin A, Vitamin C

Home-grown asparagus
should be cut as soon as the
tips of the stalks reach eight
inches above die ground.
