Cows were 2.50- higher and bulls firm to 2.00 higher. Two-way feeder steers were 2.00-3.00 higher. Fed cattle prices con tinued to advance with daily trading often a scramble for numbers to meet-even a reduced slaughter quota. The upsurge was partially supported by higher carcass prices. But the live trade usually outdistanced carcass upturns. Supplies were still of modest proportions, but the overall finish was fairly attractive with a rather liberal percentage Choice and a moderate volume Choice and Prime. Slaughter steers made up ap proximately 32 pet and heifers 34 pet. Cows com prised 10 pet and feeders 22 pet. STEERS: Part load Hunter’s Auction April 16,1979 Rising Sun, Md. HEIFERS:.
