LITITZ Approximately
125 people attended the
Warwick FFA Parent and
Member banquet held
recently at the Rothsville
Fire Hall. The purpose of the
banquet was to recognize
those members who showed
some outstanding abilities in
agriculture, or other FFA
related activities.
The awards ceremony
began with the crowning of
the "AW FFA Sweetheart.
The crown-was presented by
vice president Doug Suavely
to Deb Stauffer, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stauffer.
Deb Stauffer was recently presented the crown
and title of FFA Sweetheart by vice president Doug
Snavely at Warwick’s FFA awards banquet.

trips.
Dean Long, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Long, was
awarded the Star Greenhand
award and Doug Snavely,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald
Snavely, received the Star
Chapter Farmer.
Dean Hess, son of Mr. and
Mrs. JpJyiHess^received the
■placement in Agriculture
Production award for the
work he is doing on his
parent’s farm. Dave Heckel,
son of Mr. and Mrs David
FFA Chapter holds
Heckel, was awarded the
Agri-Sales and Service
Award for his work at
Hollinger's Farm and
Supply store. Both students
are part of the work ex
perience program offered at
Warwick.
The following members
received proficiency awards
in various fields of
agriculture. Doug Pfautz,
son of Mr. and Mlfe tJeraid
Pfautz, received the Beef
Production award and Kathy
Snavely, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Fredric Snavely,
was awarded the proficiency
award in Dairy Production.
Russ Marks, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Marks, received
the livestock Production
award.

The athletic award of Most
'Valuable Player went to
Glen Roberts, son of Mr.
Lester Roberts. Glen is a
member of both the FFA
basketball and volleyball
teams. The Forest
Management award was
presented to Dave Snavely,
son of Mr , and Mrs. Fredric,
Snavely. Bruce Strohm, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Strohm, received the
proficiency award for Fish
and Wildlife Management.
The new officers for next
year were also recognized.
Returning as the president is
Russ Marks along with Doug
Snavely as vice president.
Holding an office for the first
time is Bruce Strohm as the

office of treasurer and Dean
Long will be the chaplin.

provided by the young and
talented magician Andy
Vissly. He is presently a
