Bruce also received a bronze medal for his single en terprise record book for dairy herd and a State FFA Chorus pin. In addition, he received a foundation medal for public speaking as well. Receiving the Star Greenhand award was Richard Savidge of Mertz town R 2. David Dietrich of LenhartsviHe Rl received a Keystone Farmer pm. He was also awarded a foun dation medal for fruit and vegetable garden. Other foundation award winners were: Keith ' Flicker, Maxatawny, agriculture sales and ser vice, and ornamental hor r ticulture; Randy Rabenold, Kutztown R 2, beef production; Chris Bear, Kempton „R 2, crop Shoemaker, Mertztown Hi, placement in agriculture production; Dean Bruno, Kutztown, poultry production; and Ronald Sutliff, MohrsvDle, sheep production. Scott Rabenold, Kutztown' R 2, received a State FFA Chorus pin. Bill Zollers, Mertztown R 2, received a bronze medal for his two enterprise record book and Timothy Behm, Kutztown, received a gold medal for his single enterprise record book on dairy calves. Recognition was also given to Kevin Hertzog, Oley Rl, Jeffrey Miller, Kutztown R 3 and Dale Siegfried, Breimgsville, for their having received the American Farmer Degree this year. Dairy and swine club meets HAMBURG The Nor thern Berks 4-H Club held their meeting on March 22 at the home of Patty and Carol Dreisbach. Nelson James from Sire Power spoke on sire selection. He explained the advantages of using A.l. 1 rather then a barnyard bull. The club also discussed going to a Phillies game and formed a committee. 121 FFA motto, especially “livuig to serve”. “Don’t be left asking why didn’t I give all that I had?” he ex plained. Witwer told his audience to give all they could, whenever, wherever, however and to whomever they could. The club recently par ticipated in Hoards Dairymen Judging contest. Fifteen of the 17 club members judged in this contest.
