for immediate
requirements. Part of the
early upturn was lost at
midweek, however, as most
buyers became cautious and
selective and were com
petitive only for numbers to
meet immediate
requirements. Prices on
carcass beef advanced
sharply early, but midweek
demand was reported light.
Feeder buyers were
moderately aggressive for
fleshy - two-way steers.
Steers made up ap
