190 CATTLE 190
Dairy consists of 110 milch cows, with 18 fresh, 9 due
in Feb., 7 in March, 8 in April, 8 in May, 15 in June, 10 in
July, 10 in Aug., 11 in Sept, and 14 in Oct.
Also 43 heifers from breeding.age to bred heifers, 20
heifers from 3 mo. to yearlings and 15 started heifer
calves from 1 week to 3 mo. old, plus 1 Holstein service
bull and 1 Jersey Service bull.
This is mostly a home raised dairy from ABS
breeding with good size and quality and nice growthy
young stock.
All the heifers are from ABS Genetic Mating Service
with such sires as: Collins Crest Sunshine Chief, Lime
Hollow Fambus Ned, Tri-town Wis Apollo, Forbes
Acres Seaman Paul, Poverty Hollow Demand and U
tag Ivanhoe Ultimate.
MACHINERY
Selling: JD 125 skid loader with hydro drive water
cooled gas engine and less than 100 hrs., brand new in
late fall of 1978, like showroom condition. Also selling
NH 679 tandem axle spreader with hyd. tail gate, just 3
mo. old and also in showroom condition.
PRODUCE
Approx. 8000 bales of early cut hay to be sold in 2 lots
and about 4200 bales of late cut hay to be sold in 4 lots.
Also approx. 50 ft. of haylage in a 20x70 silo, silo
unloader available and a good place to load.
MANAGER’S NOTE; Floyd has never had under a
3.8 test at the creamery and you will find dairy type
animals here that will suit the most critical of buyers.
All necessary animals will be vet. checked for
pregnancy, have shipping fever shots, and will be blood
tested and eligible for immediate interstate shipment.
Vet. will be on hand day of sale to write the charts for
cattle to go immediately.
Don’t miss this sale if you need good dairy cattle at
your price.
