According to Alien George, Jr., Schnecksville Rl; and Paul Lockard, Bangor; the appeal in the small versions of the big machines is mainly because of their size and cost. They’re easier to handle and it would cost someone about $175 to get set up and ready to compete. They compete on a two by 16 foot plywoood table, pulling weights in a similar pattern to that the real tractors do. The events are held during the Winter months, and inside, out of the weather. Some of the micro-mini tractor fanciers also pull at the regular-sized tractor pulls over the Summer months. Four divisions were held last Friday night, while the onlookers watched. In each contest, the same tractors were used, with weights added to make the class requirements. The results of the contest follow: Three Pound 1. Allen George, 2. Rob Leiser, Plainfield Township; 3.
