percent slaughter steers,
about 35 percent heifers and
15 percent cows.
Both slaughter steers and
heifers prices declined from
the all-time local record
highs of a week ago in face of
declining prices early in the
week in the wholesale
carcass beef trade. Cows,
meanwhile, advanced
further in price to reach new
record highs.
