Course offerings range from crafts, home economics, leisure time activities, and a _ focus beyond the middle years. In the area of food preparation, a workshop on microwave cooking, in cluding basic cooking principles and preparation, will be offered on Mondays, March 5,19, and 26th from 7 to 9 p.m. Registration is requested by Wednesday, February 21. The course fee is $l5. Foreign food cookery, featuring a demonstration of a main dish and dessert, will also include taste sampling of the finished product. Italian cookery will be presented on March 8, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., with a fee of 75 cents. Registrations are due by February 28th. Austrian cookery, at the same fee and time, will be presented on March 16. Registration deadline is May 9. Home furnishings workshops will offer areas of learning and participation in slipcovers and draperies. On Thursday, March 1,8, 22, and 29th, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. a slipcover workshop is offered. Fabric selection, measurement, fitting, application of zippers and making self binding will be included. Participants are encouraged to work on a chair covering while at tending the course.
