Poultry meetings set LANCASTER The Penn State Extension Service has scheduled three educational poultry meetings in Lan caster County, the first of which will be held Thursday, Feb. 15, in the Farm and Home Center, here. Subsequent meetings will be held there March 1 and 15. Starting times for all meetings is 7:30 p.m. According to Lancaster County Extension Agent Jay Irwin, “a lot of important things have happened in the poultry industry during the past year and will continue to occur in the future. We have scheduled three meetings in an effort to keep poultrymen abreast of these things and help them meet the challenges that may affect their farms and their industry.” The first meeting, slated for Feb. 15, will attempt to answer the question: “Do You Need to Be an Engineer to Operate Your Poultry House?” Floyd Hicks guest stars.' Also on the agenda for that first meeting is a panel of equipment representatives who will discuss “What Can The Poultry Producer Do To Keep a Check on His Equipment, and Operate and Maintain it Efficiently?” The second meeting, on March 1, features Fred Jaindl, turkey grower, and John Pyfer and David Kluxen, at torneys at law. All three gentlemen have been closely involved with zoning and neighbor protests.
