One of the highest production records ever recorded in
Berks County was completed last month by a cow named
Faith. Stabled on the Charles Plushanski Farm, the 9-year
old Holstein pumped out 33,835 pounds of milk and 1685
pounds of butterfat. Another cow to make over 1000
pounds of butterfat was Prilly, owned by Andrew Stoltz
fus. A 4-year old, she checked in with 23,844 pounds of milk
and 1057 pounds of butterfat. Second high in milk
production was Nevin Mast’s Louise, which produced
27,073 pounds of milk and 876 pounds of butterfat.
