Paul Goss, a drivers
education teacher, gave
safety tips and described the
new code. He also explained
alcoholic tests, radar, and
other things. Goss has been a
teacher at the Elizabethtown
Area High for 20 years.
The next meeting will be
held on February 3, at 2 p.m.
in the parlor of the Church of
the Brethren.
Joan Summy hosted the
December meeting of the
Lancaster County Farm
Women Society 26.
Farm Show delegates
chosen were Janet Buchen
and Jannet Erb. Erma
Esbenshde installed Polly
Kreider as president and
Judy Esbenshade as the first
vice president for 1979.
The program was a slide
presentation by outgoing
president Erma Esben
shade.

Christmas gifts were
exchanged and secret sisters
were revealed. Refresh
ments were served by the
hostess and the co-hostess,
Lucille Buckwalter.
Evelyn Paige hosted the
York County Society of
Farm Women 1 on January
3. Seventeen members and 1
guest were present.
The Society made
donations to the York rescue
mision and gifts to the York
County Mental Health for
guests at the Harrisburg
State Hospital.
It was announced that the

Sixteen members of
Lancaster County Farm
Women Society 6 held their
first meeting of the new year
on January 6 at the home of
Mrs. Bernard. Mrs. Sarah
Halisberg and Anna Geyer
served as co-hostesses.
Mrs. Saylor presided at
the meeting. Two members
were planning to attend the
state convention. It was
reported that three fruit
baskets were given out in
December.
